Vocation Tutorial

Every hero of Raptor walks one of four paths. Your vocation decides how you fight, what you can wear, which spells you wield, and how you grow with every level. Choose it at The Oracle when you leave the starter grounds — the choice is permanent unless you later visit the Vocation Changer.
Click a vocation to see its full spell list, promotions, pros and cons, and tricks.
The Four Vocations
| Vocation | Role | Best at |
|---|---|---|
| Sorcerer | Offensive mage | Raw elemental burst — the highest single-target and area magic damage |
| Druid | Healing mage | Ice/earth damage, mass healing, and party support |
| Paladin | Ranged hybrid | Distance combat, holy magic, and strong survivability |
| Knight | Melee tank | Massive health, heavy armor, and holding the front line |
How you grow (per level)
Every level you gain a fixed amount of health, mana and capacity based on your vocation:
| Vocation | HP / level | Mana / level | Cap / level |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sorcerer | 5 | 30 | 10 |
| Druid | 5 | 30 | 10 |
| Paladin | 10 | 15 | 20 |
| Knight | 15 | 5 | 25 |
Mages get the most mana, knights the most health and capacity, paladins sit in between. Promotions also speed up your health and mana regeneration and raise your soul cap.
Promotions
Your vocation advances in three steps, each unlocking stronger spells and better regeneration:
| Step | Tier | Requirement | Cost | NPC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st promotion | e.g. Master Sorcerer | Level 100 | 250,000 gp (25 crystal coins) | Promoter |
| 2nd promotion | e.g. Death Master | Level 500 | 50,000,000 gp (50 gold nuggets) | Promoter |
See each vocation page for its exact promotion names. You can also change vocation entirely at the Vocation Changer for 100 Raptor Coins (this resets your skills).
