Something in Sandurna's tombs has been feeding. Where the desert's rats once scavenged harmlessly among the buried halls of the pharaohs, the corruption that seeped up from below has swollen them into something monstrous — the Infected Rats. Bloated with disease and old grave-rot, they burst from the sand in packs, their bite carrying a venom potent enough to drop a seasoned warrior, their very presence blighting the ground they cross.
Follow the Infected Rats down. Beneath the sands of Sandurna, where the pharaohs' tombs sink deepest and the air turns thick and wet, the corruption pools into something almost alive — the Infected Slimes. They are what the infection becomes when it has nowhere left to spread: a churning mass of blight and grave-water that oozes through the buried halls, dissolving stone, bone, and anything foolish enough to stand in its path.
They are a plague on the desert's edge, and a sign that whatever the Sins left buried beneath Sandurna has not stopped spreading. Only well-armored, well-supplied adventurers should hunt them; the reward is real, but so is the poison, and the sands have swallowed many who underestimated a "rat."
Where the Rats above are a plague, the Slimes are the source made flesh — heavier, deadlier, and soaked in a poison that shrugs off armor. They guard the deepest chambers of the tombs, and the treasures found on their remains hint at just how many adventurers came this far before them and did not climb back out.

Overview

Follow the Infected Rats down. Beneath the sands of Sandurna, where the pharaohs' tombs sink deepest and the air turns thick and wet, the corruption pools into something almost alive — the Infected Slimes. They are what the infection becomes when it has nowhere left to spread: a churning mass of blight and grave-water that oozes through the buried halls, dissolving stone, bone, and anything foolish enough to stand in its path.
